Building new neural networks and connections through immersive simulations
Roleplay and simulations are at the core of our learning experience. Based on research findings from Harvard University and others, immersive experiences and exposures are a powerful platform to build new neural connections that provide new perspectives/ways to think, communicate and solve at work.
A study conducted by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) noted that students participating in simulation-based learning performed 22% better in application-based exams compared to those taught using traditional methods. This hands-on, immersive approach enhances the learning experience by making it more interactive and reflective of real-world challenges in the professional domain.

Training the brain by using mental models
Mental models are structured frameworks of steps, tools, and techniques that enable learners to organize knowledge and solve problems relative to the principle being taught. Research by Norman and Rumelhart shows that by using mental models, students can approach problems systematically, breaking them down into manageable parts to analyze situations, identify solutions, and make informed decisions.
In our teaching method, we provide learners with Smart Cuts®, which are mental models for applying soft skills to diverse situations at work. Learners apply these Smart Cuts® to solve problems or tackle situations in workplace simulations to gain intuitive familiarity with these approaches. The same mental models are repeated over four weeks, reinforcing learning, helping participants store information in long-term memory for easier recall and application. Cognitive psychologists have demonstrated that this repeated practice positively impacts memory retention, problem-solving abilities, and learning transfer.

Providing real-time feedback and engaging in self- reflection
Studies by Stanford University and others conclude that real-time feedback keeps students engaged and helps them develop self-regulation skills for learning and adjust their problem-solving strategies in real time.
Feedback tells students what they are or are not understanding, where their performance is going well or poorly, and how they should direct their subsequent efforts - enabling them to become aware of their learning processes and take ownership of their development. We provide this feedback in real- time through role- play and simulation, giving immediate responses to learner performance.
